    Danny Johnson
    Partner & Founder

Danny started Creative Asylum in 2004 with a simple goal: build an integrated agency based on creative ideas, effective strategy, and happy people. With the understanding that fulfilled employees mean satisfied clients (and vice versa), Danny has succeeded in building a unique agency model. Today that means an Emmy® Award-winning team dedicated to consistently delivering winning strategy and world-class creative campaigns.

Prior to launching Creative Asylum, Danny gained extensive experience across digital and traditional media as VP of Integrated Marketing Strategy at Aspect Ratio, Director of Strategy and Production at ICEBOX.com and as an Associate at Korn/Ferry International.

Danny is a microbrew aficionado, a cheese lover, and serves asCPM (Chief Pancake Maker) to his two small children. He also has a law degree that, much to his mother’s chagrin, gathers dust as he blazes trails in the world of creative advertising.

  • Charles Lee
    Partner & SVP Production

Charles helped launch Creative Asylum as an original Partner and head of Production. With over 10 years of experience in digital and live production, Charles has successfully touched over 3,000 projects across countless clients, brands, events, and entertainment properties. Memorable highlights from his career include managing a 30,000 sq. ft. broadcast facility (that is now the home to NPR West), webcasting the 2000 Democratic National Convention, and winning an Emmy.

Charles spends much of his time flying between Los Angeles and Panama City, where he oversees Creative Asylum's Latin American operations, leading a team of 40+ creatives, developers, and producers. While rumored by many to be nuclear-powered, Charles remains very much an enigma—wrapped in bacon, soaked in bourbon, and shrouded by mystery.

  • Min Kim
    Creative Director, Digital

With one foot planted firmly in the future of cutting-edge digital technology, and the other armed with over 12 years experience in the print and interactive space, Min provides daily leadership as Creative Director of the Digital team. During her 3 year tenure, Min has spearheaded truly innovative digital solutions—all with an acute understanding of today’s cross-platfrom environment.

A graduate of the Art Center College of Design, Min’s pedigree has been fortified by award-winning experience in all areas of design and development, from conception and ideation through execution. And she loves every bit of it. In her own words, she’s not coming to work each day, but rather "racing down the information superhighway with both hands on the steering wheel."

When she’s not road tripping down the infobahn, you can most often find Min watching anime, attempting to tame her Pomeranian puppy, or Googling random questions like "Do ants have eyes?" (The answer, in case you’re wondering, is yes.)

  • Dave McVeigh
    Creative Director, Content

Dave joined the team in 2008 as Creative Director of the Content group, enticed by Creative Asylum’s innovative integrated approach and stone’s throw proximity to the Cat & Fiddle pub. Dave brings over 18 years of experience guiding, collaborating, cajoling, charming and grinding out a wide variety of innovative content, both short form and long.

At Incue Productions (with his brother Scott), he co-wrote produced, directed and edited numerous episodes of the HBO First Look series, as well as overseeing countless campaigns, documentaries and network specials for both studios and brands. Somewhere deep in storage he’s got awards to prove he’s been keeping off the streets and doing notable work.

Safely ensconced in his Fiddle-adjacent office, he’ll be the first to tell you he has the dream gig, overseeing a diverse crew of talented creatives and an ever-changing slate of challenging projects.
